After offering weekend data for its postpaid customers, DiGi has now extended such benefit to its prepaid customer. Under the new benefit, they will able to enjoy a total of 8GB worth of free weekend data per month which is equivalent to 2GB on each weekend.
However, there is a catch though: the free data can be used only be used for LTE connection. Furthermore, a DiGi Smart Prepaid customer has pointed out that the free weekend data is only applicable for new customers according to a conversation with DiGi’s Helpline. This was confirmed by presentation slides that were posted by DiGi dealers online, as shown below:
Applicable from 12AM on Saturday till 1159PM on Sunday, this benefit will apparently last for as long as the customer continues to be with DiGi Prepaid. In order to receive it, all eligible customers need to do is dial *888*6# and the free data will then be automatically activated on every weekend from there onwards.
The FAQ also stated that users will be reverted to their existing Mobile Internet quota or basic Internet once their free weekend data quota is finished. To learn more about this new benefit, head on to the official website of DiGi Smart Prepaid.
